About Ilyse Lesser LCSW
Ilyse Lesser LCSWIlyse Lesser, LCSW, is a trained clinical social worker providing psychotherapy and counseling services since 1995. She received her graduate degree from New York University School of Social Work and post graduate training at the Training Institute for Mental Health and the Institute for Research and Self Psychology. Ilyse is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has maintained a private practice in New York City since 2002.

Prior to starting her private psychotherapy and counseling practice, Ilyse worked at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for six years counseling patients and their families on a variety of issues. Ilyse no longer works full time at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, but she continues to be the managing editor of the Sarcoma Newsletter. The newsletter is published yearly to provide medical information and personal stories focusing on people living with sarcoma.

Ilyse is the fundraising chairperson for the Kristen Ann Carr Fund which supports programs to benefit cancer patients and sarcoma research. For further information regarding this Fund please click the link provided on the Contact page in this website.
